1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You may not create more than one account or use another person's account without permission.
• You must provide a valid address to receive location-relevant civic information. Providing a false address to access another district's representatives is prohibited.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Post content that is false, misleading, defamatory, threatening, or harassing
• Impersonate any person, elected official, or organization
• Use the Service to spam, manipulate votes, or artificially inflate engagement
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or private data
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (proposals, comments, votes). By posting content, you grant PollSee a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and use that content in connection with the Service.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be harmful or inappropriate.

5. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to help refine and expand policy proposals. AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, policy, or professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing and approving any AI-generated content before it is published under your name.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain features require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Payments are processed by Stripe (for web) and Apple (for iOS in-app purchases). Refund policies are governed by the respective payment platform.

7. Campaigns and Office Holders

Campaign and Office Holder accounts are subject to additional verification. PollSee does not endorse any candidate, party, or political position. The presence of an official or campaign on the platform does not imply endorsement by PollSee.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, logos, and brand, is owned by PollSee and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Civic information displayed in the Service (election dates, representative details, legislative status) is sourced from third-party data providers and may not always be current or accurate. Always verify important civic information through official government sources.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PollSee shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms and revising the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
